It finally happened! Both boats are in the water, ready to roll for the 2020 fishing season here on Cape Cod. After a winter of maintenance and updates both boats have never been more prepared for a charter season! The weather hasn't been cooperating very nicely lately, but we have been able to get out fishing a couple times this week.
Our fist trip of the year was up to Buzzards Bay with the 28 release. We towed the boat over to Tailors Point Marina to hunt down the Tautog. It was such a beautiful spring day Capt. Ben even brought his spearfishing gear and hopped in the 50 degree water. Bouncing from piling to rock pile to lighthouse back to pilings we ended up landing a couple beautiful Tog for dinner and had a blast doing it!
Later in the week we decided to trailer the 28 over to Sesuit harbor to go Haddock fishing. We cruised about 20 miles out in Cape Cod Bay to the Haddock grounds and it didn't take long to find those weird alien looking creatures! It felt great being back out on the water catching fish!
Capt. Caroline and Capt. Ben have been on the hunt for Schoolies lately and are patiently waiting for the bigger bass to show up. Soon enough both boats will be out on the hunt for Stipers, Seabass and Tog and we can't wait!
Until next week.
Stay safe and tight lines,
