Fishing on Cape Cod has been a blast lately! Jax captains Ben and Caroline have been on schoolie missions almost every evening the past week or so. The past few days have been a great opportunity to dust off the fly rod and head out on the search for little striped bass. Covering almost every spot from Stage Harbor to Town Cove in Orleans, the schoolie fishing has been a blast!
The little guys we ran into have been ranging from 12-14 inches and been eating sand eels so little clousers on the fly and top water poppers as well as small bucktails and plastics on the spin have been working to catch these fish. Bigger, keeper bass have been hanging out around the canal and the bay the past week or so and will hopefully start heading over our way soon. There is plenty of squid in the sound for the stripers to feed on so it is just a matter of time until they show up! Be sure to give us a call to book your striped bass charter today with Jax!
Until next week,
