With some wind blowing this week Jax stuck to freshwater fishing and shore fishing
. Capt. Ben took out Teddy and a friend on Hinckleys Pond to catch some bass and had a blast. We have been taking advantage of the great freshwater fishing on the Cape as we prepare ourselves for the madness of Cape Cod summer saltwater fishing.
Right now the bigger striped bass are running heavy through NJ and NY and around Block Island as they make their way towards us here on Cape Cod. Striper schoolies are being caught everywhere already. The bigger stripers will migrate right behind as the waters continue to warm up. Reports of Tuna being caught to the south of us have begun and we should start seeing/ hearing of them soon. The Seabass and Scup fishing has started to heat up and is a blast to take advantage of while they stick around, close to shore. The fish are most definitely beginning to show up and will be around for the next couple months so make sure to give Jax Charters a call and set aside a day for you to get out fishing.
Until next time,
