Hello all, I'd like to officially welcome you to the 2021 season with Jax Charters! We were incredibly lucky last year to take out so many great groups on charters, tours and cruises. We would like to thank you all for making last year so amazing and unforgettable for us and we hope it was the same for you! We are hoping to see some familiar faces back this season along with a bunch on new ones!
We have some exciting news to share with you all! We will be looking a little different on the water this year! Over the winter we purchased a new boat to run our trips on, a beautiful 28ft Regulator center console will be the new face of Jax Charters. Capt. Ben is also the new owner of a 19ft Carolina Skiff which he is so excited to run fly fishing and light tackle fishing trips on this year! The most exciting addition to the Jax fleet (in our opinion) is a custom built 42ft Wesmac! Unfortunately the Wesmac will not be ready for the 2021 season but we will keep you all updated on the build as the season goes on and we will hopefully have her in the water for the 2022 season! Capt. Caroline is also going to be putting her artistic talents to use this year by offering fish prints of fish caught on charters! If you catch a fish you'd like to remember forever, Caroline will paint an original fish print for you to pick up after your trip!
This year is already proving to be a busy one. We have run a couple trips already and seem to have new bookings and inquiries coming in almost everyday. The squid fishing was on fire the last two weeks. The Scup and Seabass follow right behind those squid and the big stripers are not far behind them. The herring showed up a couple weeks ago which brought the schoolies in which is always an exciting time! This year we plan on running a bunch of trips targeting Striped Bass, Fluke, Seabass, Tuna, Shark along with whale watches, seal tours, private cruises and shuttle service to Nantucket! We also hope to find a couple weather windows to head out to the Canyons this year!
This week we had a couple squid charters which are always a great time. Everything is covered in ink by the end of the day but the tasty calamari afterwards is so worth it! The boat is going to be taking a little hiatus for the next two weeks or so while it is getting all new Garmin electronics put on it, so it is ready to go once June comes around! If you are interested in joining us for a trip this season, I do recomend booking it as soon as possible. Dates are filling up quicker than ever and we don't want anyone missing out!
We can't wait to get you all out on the water this year!
