Frequently asked questions/policies

WHAT SHOULD YOU BRING ON YOUR CHARTER? 

​

  • Rain jacket and pants, if rain is in the forecast

  • Warm clothing. Even if it is warm out, sometimes it is cooler than you may think on the water, we recommend wearing layers 

  • Closed toe Shoes- Comfortable non-skid boat shoes are recommended (we are not responsible for any foot injuries while wearing open toe shoes/ no shoes) 

  • Sunglasses

  • Sunscreen

  • Hat

  • Camara

  • Any food and drinks you may want for the trip, beer and wine is fine (no glassware please)

  • A cooler to put your catch in after the charter

HOW SHOULD YOU PAY FOR YOUR CHARTER?

 

  • The complete balance of your trip is due when you return to the dock after your charter. Cash is the preferred form of payment. Check, Venmo and credit card payments are also accepted, there is a 4% processing fee for all credit card payments made through our Square credit card reader.

  • Tips to your captain and/or crew are accepted and greatly appreciated (Standard tip 15% to 20%)

HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN COME ON A CHARTER?

​

  • The 28 Regulator can take parties up to 6 people, NO EXCEPTIONS. If your party is lager then six people please give us a call and we will be happy to try to arrange a multiple boat trip that can accommodate your whole party

  • The 16 Pro Skiff can accommodate 1 customer

​

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME OF YEAR TO GO FISHING?

​

  • Our fishing season on Cape Cod begins in late April and will run through November, some years December

  • Striped Bass season: May - September/October (we recommend booking in June)

  • Fluke Season: May 21st - September 29th (we recommend booking in June)

  • Black Sea Bass Season: May 20th - September 7th (we recommend booking in June)

  • Bluefin Tuna Season: June - December (we recommend booking August/September)

SHOULD YOU BRING YOUR OWN FOOD?

​

  • Yes. Please feel free to bring food and drink on your charter. Please refrain from bringing any kind of glassware on your trip. Alcohol is allowed as long as it is consumed in a moderate fashion, the captain reserves the right to return early if anyone on the charter becomes too intoxicated.

WHAT TIME DOES THE BOAT LEAVE THE DOCK?

 

  • The starting time for each trip varies. Departure times can change due to weather, tide and sunlight. We will make sure to confirm your trips departure time with you before your booked date.

DO YOU NEED TO BRING YOUR OWN FISHING GEAR?

​

  • No. All fishing gear will be provided for you. If you do have a favorite rod or lure you would like to bring, please feel free!

WILL YOU GET SEASICK?

​​

  • There is a chance that we may run into some bumpy water. If you are known to have issues with motion sickness we do recommend taking either Dramamine or motion sickness patches before and during your trip. It is away best to take the medication an hour or two before your departure time.

CANCELATION POLICY 

​

  • Trip specific deposits are required to secure requested charter dates. Deposits are refundable up until 14 days prior to your booked charter. The captain reserves the right to cancel your charter due to inclement weather. Most charters will go out in rain and fog however wind speed and sea state are important factors in determining cancellations. If your charter is cancelled due to weather, you will be offered alternative dates or fully refunded.
